Reflection Paper

This course is my first time learn English by computer. I never join other CALL course before. When I knew CALL class, I am very curious. How computer could assisted Language learning? By YouTube? Or else I didn’t know. In course, I gradually learn a lot of project which assisted Language learning. For example, Self-blog, Talks on TED, MY ET and Open Course Ware. Every topic interested me. Learn language become interesting and easy. A lot of website could improve my listening and my pronunciation. Actually, both listening and pronunciation are the worst in my English. Therefore, this course assist me knew the new way to improve my English ability.

Actually, I never share myself-view on the internet. In particular, use English to express own ideas. When I set up my own blog, I didn’t have idea on my first article which is Introduce yourself. Even this topic is very simple. I still spend many time on this article. Because I am not used to express own view by English. Day by day, I wrote more comments, the more able to express own view by English. Every time I carry-out my new article, I felt a sense of accomplishment. Although I am not very good at English. But one day I hope that I able to write a depth-sentence in English.

Second project influenced me is Talks on TED. This website I never heard before. My English listening is not very good from the past. Talks on TED share many talk’s speeches. Each speech has meaningful. Beside learn English also can reflect on the speaker wanted to convey the idea. Talks on TED is very useful website that has a variety of language subtitles could assist us learn more easily.

Whether blog or website, I will continue to be used after the end of the CALL course. Also other project that I learn in CALL class. I would not use the computer to learn English in the past. Now I know how computer could assisted Language learning. I am glad that I choose CALL course. When I confused how I could improve my English, CALL course solve my trouble. In the future I will change my language learning behavior. Begin to use computers to help me learn English. The most important is learning resources are around us that is Network information.
